Charlie Nicholas believes “draw specialists” Tottenham Hotspur would be happy to settle for a point at Anderlecht on Thursday night.

The north London side are in Belgium after a goalless draw with top-six rivals Liverpool at White Hart Lane in the Premier League at the weekend.

I’m going to go for another draw, with Spurs, the draw specialists, to be chuffed to bits with another point

Spurs have remarkably already drawn six of their last 11 games in all competitions this season, including a 1-1 stalemate with Monaco in their last Europa League game.

And former Arsenal midfielder Nicholas reckons Mauricio Pochettino would settle for a point against a potentially dangerous Anderlecht side at Constant Vanden Stock Stadium.

“I would imagine that Spurs will be going to Belgium in the hope that they can get another draw because they obviously feel like a draw is worth a victory to them in the group that they’re in,” Nicholas told Sky Sports.

“I think this is a tough game because Anderlecht are a dangerous side, they attack well, they score goals – yes they’re a bit vulnerable. I’m going to go for another draw, with Spurs, the draw specialists, to be chuffed to bits with another point.”

Spurs are in sixth place in the Premier League table after their 0-0 draw with Liverpool at the weekend.
