Johnny Giles says Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has completely lost the plot after his recent antics.

The defending Premier League champions are facing a crucial fixture against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

Mourinho’s men have won one of their last seven games in all competitions and have already lost six times in 10 Premier League fixtures this term.

The Chelsea manager has clashed with hisown media staff and Premier League officials in a controversial start to the defence of their top-flight crown.

Former Republic of Ireland midfielder Giles was heavily critical of Mourinho’s antics in the opening months of the season.

“It is totally out of hand this season,” Giles told Newstalk’s Off The Ball show.

“He has been out of hand over the years but he has always been winning trophies.

“He is certainly going the right way about trying to be sacked. He can’t do much more. If the owners want to sack him, they have plenty of reasons to do it now.

“He has lost the plot. His behaviour is not normal since the season started. He has spoken about the doctor. He has problems with the referees. It is everyone’s fault.”

Chelsea are in 15th place in the Premier League table and 11 points behind current leaders Manchester City.
