Jose Mourinho says there is no chance that he will resign as Chelsea manager.

The Blues slumped to their fourth Premier League defeat of the season after a 3-1 loss to Southampton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.

If the club want to sack me they have to sack me because I am not running away from my responsibilities or my team

The defending champions are a staggering 10 points behind current leaders Manchester City after eight Premier League games.

But the three-time Premier League winner was adamant that he won’t be standing down despite their miserable run in form.

“I want to make it clear. One, I don’t run away,” said Mourinho in his post-match media conference.

“Two, if the club want to sack me they have to sack me because I am not running away from my responsibilities or my team.”

Chelsea are currently in 16th place in the Premier League table and 10 points behind City, who were emphatic 6-1 winners against Newcastle United.

Willian had given Chelsea the lead before goals from Steven Davis, Saido Mane and Graziano Pelle overturned the home side’s lead.
