Eden Hazard has insisted that he has no problems with Jose Mourinho after the Chelsea manager recently dropped the playmaker to the bench.

The Belgium international was a second-half substitute as Mourinho’s men slumped to a surprise 2-1 loss to FC Porto in the Champions League last month.

Mourinho’s decision to drop the PFA player of the year to the bench raised some eyebrows.

However, Hazard believes that the Portuguese coach was simply trying to send him a message and has issued his backing for the Chelsea boss.

Hazard told Voetbal Krant: “I have no problems with that [being dropped]. Then it is my task to encourage the boys on the pitch.

“I think the coach in that way was trying to tell me something. He is still the best.”

The Blues are looking to bounce back and return to winning ways after their disastrous start to the season continued with a 3-1 loss to Southampton at Stamford Bridge last weekend.

Hazard is yet to find the net for the Blues this season.
