Chelsea transfers: Jose Mourinho responds to Andriy Yarmolenko talk
Jose Mourinho plays down talk of a Chelsea bid for Andriy Yarmolenko
Jose Mourinho has moved to play down speculation linking Chelsea with a swoop for Dynamo Kyiv attacker Andriy Yarmolenko.
Reports in the media claimed that Mourinho’s visit to the Ukraine last week was to enable the Portuguese coach to keep tabs on Yarmolenko, who has been touted as a possible target for the west London club.
However, when quizzed about the speculation during a news conference on Monday afternoon, Mourinho moved to play down talk of a possible swoop for the forward.
Mourinho said: “Of course I wasn’t looking at [other] players. We cannot make a collection of wingers.”
