Gabriel Paulista has taken to social media to reveal his excitement ahead of Arsenal’s League Cup clash against Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night.

The Gunners are looking to progress to the quarter-finals of the competition after beating local rivals Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 in the third round last month.

Gabriel returned to the Arsenal starting line-up for Saturday’s 2-1 win over Everton in the Premier League.

And the Brazilian defender is clearly excited about the prospect of featuring for the Gunners against Wednesday this week.

Gabriel posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “Work hard, play harder. Let’s go gunners. #gabrielisagunner”

The 24-year-old defender, who joined Arsenal from Villarreal back in January, has made six Premier League appearances this season for Wenger’s men. He has also featured in two of the Gunners’ Champions League group-stage games but missed last week’s 2-0 win over Bayern Munich.

Arsenal take on Swansea City in their next Premier League game at the Liberty Stadium next weekend.
