Harry Kane has talked up Christian Eriksen’s importance to Tottenham Hotspur and says that he and the playmaker are forming a solid partnership on the pitch.

The England international hit an impressive hat-trick in Spurs’ 5-1 thrashing of Bournemouth in the Premier League last weekend, with Eriksen setting up Kane’s second goal.

Kane believes that Eriksen has developed into a key player for the north London side since joining the club from Ajax in the summer of 2013.

And the striker feels that the duo can strengthen their understanding on the pitch in the coming weeks and months.

Kane told Sky Sports News HQ: “We play very well together.

“We have an understanding around the 18-yard box about the movements we are going to make.

“We get on really well off the pitch too. The more chances he makes for me, the better.”

Both Kane and Eriksen will be expecting to feature when Tottenham host Aston Villa at White Hart Lane on Monday night.
