Jamie Carragher trolls Liverpool fans over Jurgen Klopp appointment

Jamie Carragher misleads Reds supporters into thinking that he'll be working alongside Jurgen Klopp

Jamie Carragher has cheekily trolled Liverpool supporters on Twitter after the appointment of Jurgen Klopp.

The charismatic German head coach put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the five-time European champions on Thursday evening.

Initial reports in the British media suggested that Klopp could bring in a former Liverpool legend as part of his backroom staff.

Ex-Reds striker Robbie Fowler and Champions League winner Carragher were two of the names touted as potential coaches who could work under Klopp.

And the latter took to Twitter to welcome the 48-year-old to Anfield, although his post misled some Liverpool fans into believing Carragher would be working alongside Klopp.

The 2005 Champions League winner went on to clarify his tweet after one curious supporter questioned in what capacity Carragher would be “working” with their new manager.

Klopp guided former club Borussia Dortmund to two Bundesliga titles in 2011 and 2012.
