Jose Mourinho says Chelsea are capable of winning the quadruple this season.

The Blues returned to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon thanks to a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are in 11th place in the Premier League table, 10 points behind leaders Manchester City after a return of 11 points from 27 points after nine games.

The west London side are lost to Porto after an opening day win over Maccabi Tel-Aviv, whilst Chelsea eased to victory over Walsall in the League Cup.

And Mourinho, who received a vote of confidence from the Chelsae hierarchy in recent weeks, spoke bullishly about his side’s silverware prospects.

“We can win all four,” Mourinho is quoted as saying by The Express.

“Everything is open – we are only in October.

“It is possible. To win all four trophies is something really amazingly difficult.

“The difference between challenging for the title and for the top four is not so big. I don’t know if there is a margin for error. We go with everything all the way and let’s see.”

Dynamo drew 2-2 at home to Porto on matchday one before a 2-0 success at Maccabi Tel-Aviv last time out.
