Jurgen Klopp gives latest Liverpool injury update and confirms Daniel Sturridge is still sidelined
Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Daniel Sturridge won’t be available for their League Cup clash against Bournemouth on Wednesday night.
The Reds striker is nursing a knee injury which the England international suffered in first-team training earlier this month.

Sturridge hasn’t featured for the Reds since a goalless draw with Everton in Brendan Rodgers’s final game in charge of the Merseyside outfit.
And the 48-year-old German revealed that Sturridge hasn’t made a return to first-team training as the Reds boss gave his latest Liverpool injury update on Tuesday.
“There is nothing really new in this part [squad fitness],” Klopp told his pre-match media conference ahead of the visit of the Cherries in the Capital One Cup fourth round.
“Daniel is not available for tomorrow. He is getting better but not quick enough that it changes the situation for us. He is not in training.
“I saw him five minutes ago working with Chris [Morgan] in the gym, but it was not normal football training, so we have to wait.”
Liverpool drew 1-1 with Southampton at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday evening after Sadio Mane cancelled out Christian Benteke’s opener.
Bournemouth lost 5-1 to Tottenham Hotspur at Dean’s Court earlier on Sunday afternoon despite Matt Ritchie giving the newly-promoted side an early lead.
