Aaron Ramsey has been ruled out of action for Arsenal for at least a month due to a hamstring injury, Arsene Wenger has confirmed.

The Wales international pulled up in the second half of the Gunners’ famous 2-0 win over Bayern Munich in the Champions League at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night with a suspected muscular tear.

And Arsenal manager Wenger, whose side are preparing to welcome Everton to Emirates Stadium on Saturday evening, confirmed that Ramsey is set to be out of action until the end of November at the very earliest.

Wenger told Arsenal’s website: “He had a scan today but he’s out. I believe he will be out until after the next international break.

“With the [last] international break, the fact that he played against Andorra certainly cost Gareth Bale and him as well.”

The Arsenal boss also confirmed that David Ospina is set to be out of action for a number of weeks, while Jack Wilshere, Tomas Rosicky and Danny Welbeck all remain sidelined.

“David Ospina is out for our next game and certainly until the next international break,” he continued.

“For them [Wilshere, Rosicky and Welbeck], you can say around the New Year.”

Arsenal head into Saturday’s game knowing that a victory would hoist them to the top of the Premier League table ahead of Sunday’s Manchester derby at Old Trafford.
