Liverpool supporters don’t need much of an excuse to get excited on Twitter.

The Reds fans have been in particularly good form in recent days after the appointment of Jurgen Klopp on Thursday evening.

Naturally, Liverpool supporters have started to speculate whether Klopp could try to attept to lure Borussia Dortmund winger Marco Reus to Anfield.

And one Twitter user jokingly tried to extract some information over the Liverpool hierarchy’s potential interest in the Germany international, tweeting the owner’s wife, Linda Pizzuti.

However, Pizzutti, who has proven a savvy Twitter user in recent months after dodging questions about Klopp, managed to reply without causing too much controversy.

Naturally, though, her response triggered excitement amongst some Liverpool fans, who read a little too much into her reply, hoping that Reus could be on the way to Anfield.

Reus has scored six goals in six games in all competitions this season.

The German forward has netted 39 times in 84 Bundesliga appearances for BVB over the past three-and-half year.
