Claudio Ranieri has warned Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur that Leicester City will want a big fee for Jamie Vardy.

The 28-year-old striker is being linked with a January move after the England international took his tally to 10 goals in 10 Premier League games on Saturday afternoon.

Vardy has netted in his last seven Premier League games after he scored Leicester’s winner in a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace at King Power Stadium at the weekend.

Leicester boss Ranieri discussed the forward’s future amid reports linking Real Madrid, Liverpool and Tottenham with the prolific Foxes striker ahead of the January transfer window.

“It is important he enjoys it here, after that I can understand if he wants to go and find some great club,” Ranieri is quoted as saying by Daily Express. “But he costs a lot.

“If Real Madrid or some big names want to buy him, they have the money to buy him. But not many teams can buy him now.

Ranieri added: “He is very happy here. We do not want to sell him. That is clear.”

Vardy has scored 10 of Leicester’s 20 goals in the Premier League this season.

The Foxes striker received his first call-up to the England squad earlier this term after his impressive form for Ranieri’s men.

Leicester make the trip to West Bromwich Albion in their next Premier League fixture.
