Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian runs rule over summer move to Old Trafford
Matteo Darmian has revealed that he “didn’t think twice” about joining Manchester United.
The Italy international was one of seven summer signings at Old Trafford in a busy period of transfer activity for Louis van Gaal.

Darmian, who moved to United from Torino, has wasted no time establishing himself as the Red Devils’s first-choice right-back.
And the 25-year-old Italian full-back described his summer transfer to United as a big step in his blossoming career.
“I used to watch the Premier League on television and it was well known that it was perhaps one of the best leagues in the world,” Darmian told Inside United.
“So, when I got the call from United, I didn’t have to think twice about it at all.
“For me, it was a big step in my career and a really big opportunity, personally, which I didn’t want to let slip away. Of course, Manchester United are one of the biggest clubs, not just in England but the whole world. Because of the history as well, all these factors made it an easy decision for me.”
Darmian moved to United in a reported £12.5m deal from Serie A side Torino in July.
The Italy defender has already made eight Premier League appearances this term, racking up 610 top-flight minutes.

The summer signing was powerless to prevent United suffering a surprise 3-0 loss to bitter rivals Arsenal in their most recent Premier League fixture.
Darmian will be hoping to feature against Everton at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
