Frank De Boer is backing Memphis Depay to find his form for Manchester United in the coming weeks and months.

The Netherlands international has struggled to find consistent form for the Red Devils since joining the club from PSV Eindhoven during the summer transfer window.

Depay has only managed to score one Premier League goal for Louis van Gaal’s men so far this season and was substituted at half-time during United’s 3-0 loss to Arsenal before the international break.

However, De Boer is confident that the winger will rediscover his top form and help United challenge for silverware this season.

De Boer told Omnisport: “I think he can [handle the pressure].

“He showed that also last year for PSV – they had to be champions and he had a fantastic year.”

Depay will be looking to put the disappointment of the Netherland’s Euro 2016 failure behind him when United travel to Everton on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils are currently third in the table and two points behind leaders Manchester City heading into their trip to Goodison Park this weekend.
