The 28-year-old has made seven Premier League appearances for Chelsea since arriving at Stamford Bridge from Barcelona during the summer transfer window.

He has notched up one assist and scored one goal in all competitions for the west London club so far this term and played 83 minutes as Chelsea beat Aston Villa 2-0 on Saturday.

And the attacker admits that he need to step his game up in the coming weeks and months as he looks to hold down a regular spot in Chelsea’s first team.

Pedro told Chelsea’s website: “He’s a very good manager, the best we can have to lift us out of this situation.
