Mesut Ozil has taken to social media to reveal his delight after helping Germany book their place at next summer’s Euro 2016 tournament in France.

The Arsenal playmaker featured for the full 90 minutes as the world champions secured a 2-1 win over Georgia on Sunday night to secure their spot at next year’s tournament.

Goals from Thomas Muller and Max Kruse ensured that the Germans qualified as Group D winners following an unconvincing victory.

And Ozil was quick to use his personal Instagram account to reveal his delight at the win.

The Arsenal star shared the photo above on the photo-sharing app and wrote: “In the end we qualified first of the table – sorry for making it so suspenseful 😅⚽️✔ #RoadToFrance2016 #GERGEO #europeanqualifiers #bethedifference #diemannschaft @dfb_team”

Ozil will now turn his attentions back to Arsenal following his stint on international duty.

The Germany international will be hoping to feature when Arsenal return to Premier League action with a trip to Watford on Saturday.

The Gunners are currently second in the table after last weekend’s 3-0 win over Manchester United.
