Bastian Schweinsteiger has taken to social media to reveal his delight at being back in Manchester following the international break.

The Germany international was in action for his country in recent days as he helped the world champions book their place at next summer’s Euro 2016 finals in France.

Now, however, the midfielder is turning his attentions back to domestic affairs, and helping the Red Devils return to winning ways in the Premier League.

Midfielder Schweinsteiger shared the picture above of Manchester city centre on his personal Instagram account on Wednesday afternoon and wrote: “Back in Manchester!”

United head to Goodison Park on Saturday looking to secure a victory after the disappointment of their 3-0 loss to Arsenal in their most recent top-flight outing.

The defeat at Emirates Stadium left United third in the Premier League table and two points behind leaders Manchester City.

Schweinsteiger joined United from Bayern Munich during the summer transfer window.
