The Manchester United midfielder admits it was a challenge to come from behind
Bastian Schweinsteiger has hailed Manchester United’s teamwork after a 2-1 victory over Wolfsburg at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
Wolves midfielder Daniel Caligiuri scored a fourth-minute opener after a fine Wolfsburg move which exposed United’s defensive frailties.
Juan Mata drew the home side level when he confidently fired home his penalty in the 34th minute after Caligiuri handled the ball in the box.
Chris Smalling put United ahead shortly after half-time and they held on to notch up their first three points of the group stage after their loss to PSV Eindhoven earlier this month.
And 2013 Champions League winner Schweinsteiger was thrilled with three important points for the Red Devils.
