Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger is ready for their League Cup fourth-round clash
Bastian Schweinsteiger has urged Manchester United to book their place in the League Cup fifth round.
The Red Devils welcome Championship outfit Middlesbrough to Old Trafford in their fourth-round clash on Wednesday night.
The Germany international is still waiting to make his first appearance in the League Cup after he was rested for their 3-0 win against Ipswich Town last month.
But Schweinsteiger certainly has the appetite to take part in England’s third-tier cup competition if his latest Instagram post is any indication.
Schweinsteiger wrote on the photo-sharing app: “Let’s do this, @manchesterunited!”
The World Cup winner moved to the Red Devils in a reported £6.7m deal from Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.
Schweinsteiger has already become a key part of Louis van Gaal side since his summer move.
The 31-year-old has made 10 Premier League appearances, as well as featuring in all three of their Champions League outings.
