Bastian Schweinsteiger has urged Manchester United to book their place in the League Cup fifth round.

The Red Devils welcome Championship outfit Middlesbrough to Old Trafford in their fourth-round clash on Wednesday night.

The Germany international is still waiting to make his first appearance in the League Cup after he was rested for their 3-0 win against Ipswich Town last month.

But Schweinsteiger certainly has the appetite to take part in England’s third-tier cup competition if his latest Instagram post is any indication.

Schweinsteiger wrote on the photo-sharing app: “Let’s do this, @manchesterunited!”

The World Cup winner moved to the Red Devils in a reported £6.7m deal from Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.

Schweinsteiger has already become a key part of Louis van Gaal side since his summer move.
