Manchester United defender Chris Smalling takes to Twitter to thank Red Devils fans for derby support
Chris Smalling has thanked Manchester United fans for their amazing support in Sunday’s Manchester derby.
The Red Devils were held to a goalless draw with Manchester City at Old Trafford yesterday afternoon and a derby point hoisted the Citizens back to the top of the Premier League.
Smalling was denied twice by his England colleague and City number one Joe Hart in the second half at Theatre of Dreams, whilst Jesse Lingard came close to breaking the deadlock.
The 25-year-old centre-half, who moved to United from Fulham in 2010, took to Twitter to send a message to United supporters on Monday afternoon.

Smalling has started all 10 of United’s Premier League games this season.
The former Fulham defender has already partnered Daley Blind, Marcos Rojo and Jones at centre-half.
United are two points Premier League leaders Manchester City after their stalemate at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils make the trip to Crystal Palace in their next Premier League game.
