Martin Skrtel hasn’t had much to celebrate this season.

Liverpool have made a particularly forgettable start to the Premier League season after winning just three of their opening eight Premier League games.

The Reds sacked Brendan Rodgers on Sunday evening after a 1-1 draw with Everton left the 18-time English champions languishing in tenth place.

However, Skrtel’s personal life is looking much more promising as his wife, Bara, celebrated her birthday on Wednesday afternoon,

Skrtel wrote on the photo-sharing app: “It is 4 years already since we share our lifes with this litle angel!happy birthday our ❤️ we love you and will always do! 😘😘👶👼🎊🎉🎁 @baraskrtel”

Skrtel and Nathaniel Clyne have been the only consistent starters in Liverpool’s back four so far this season.

The Slovakia international helped the Reds keep three successive clean sheets at the start of the season before losses to West Ham United and Manchester United.

The Merseyside outfit have also drawn with Arsenal, Norwich City and Everton.

Former Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp is the favourite to take over the Anfield reins.
