Liverpool star Daniel Sturridge posts a positive Instagram message ahead of first game under Jurgen Klopp
Daniel Sturridge is feeling some good vibes ahead of his first game under new Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
The Reds appointed the 48-year-old as their new manager after the 18-time English champions sacked Brendan Rodgers following a 1-1 draw with Everton in the recent Merseyside derby.
According to former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore, Sturridge is already looking forward to playing under the charismatic German coach, who left Borussia Dortmund in the summer.
Sturridge, who moved to Liverpool from Chelsea in January 2013, took to Instagram on Monday night in an effort to expel all the negativity in the striker’s life.
Sturridge wrote on the photo-sharing app: “Stay away from me if yuh vibes dem nuh good…”
The Liverpool striker scored a brace in a 3-2 win against Aston Villa at Anfield last month.
The England international endured an injury-hit 2014/15 season after a string of injury problems kept the forward sidelined.
Sturridge could line up against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane in Klopp’s first game in charge on Saturday.
