Nathaniel Clyne has seen his social media popularity surge after the England defender joined Liverpool in the summer.

The 24-year-old full-back signed a five-year contract with the Merseyside outfit after he moved to Liverpool in an £11.5m deal from Southampton in July.

Clyne was the Reds’s first-choice right-back under Brendan Rodgers before Liverpool sacked the Northern Irishman and appointed Jurgen Klopp last week.

And the Liverpool defender took to his Instagram page to thanks all his fans for their support after he reached 250,000 followers on the photo-sharing app.

The Liverpool defender has already made 10 appearances in all competitions this season.

Clyne was previously linked with Manchester United before Liverpool secured the England international’s signature.
