Mesut Ozil could not hide his delight after helping Arsenal secure a 3-0 win at Watford on Saturday evening to move up to second place in the Premier League table.

After a goalless first half, Alexis Sanchez drilled home to give the visitors the lead in the 62nd minute as the Chilean notched up his sixth goal in three league games.

Substitute Olivier Giroud then fired into the roof of the net six minutes later, before Aaron Ramsey made the points secure with a deflected strike in the 74th minute.

Ozil was clearly thrilled by Arsenal’s resilience as they battled hard after a tough opening period against the home side.

And the German World Cup winner used his personal Instagram account to express his satisfaction after the game.

Ozil posted the picture above on the photo-sharing app and wrote: “Yeeeeeaaah!!! The first hour was quite tough but then we showed our real potential! Next win and back on P2 😊👌 Great! 💪💪 #yagunnersya #wfcvafc #arsenal #coyg #bethedifference #primeknit #ace15″
