Mesut Ozil says Arsenal are back in business in the Champions League after their 2-0 victory over Bayern Munich at The Emirates on Tuesday night.

Second-half substitute Olivier Giroud broke the deadlock in the 78th minute with a close-range header, although replays appeared to suggest the ball had deflected off the France international’s hand.

With Bayern pressing for an equaliser, Ozil added a second in the fourth minute of injury time to secure three points and drag the Gunners back into contention in the group after back-to-back Champions League defeats.

And Arsenal’s club-record signing wasted no time taking to Instagram to reflect on a vital win for Arsene Wenger’s side over the Bundesliga champions in north London.

Ozil wrote on his Instagram page: “Gunners!!!! We’re back in business!!!!!! #YaGunnersYa … (ouh yaa 😉) #AFCvFCB #UCL #birthdaypresent”

Arsenal are in fourth place in Group F, just two points behind current leaders Bayern ahead of their return trip to Allianz Arena.
