Ramires has taken to social media to express his delight at signing a new four-year contract with Chelsea.

The Brazilian put pen to paper on a new deal with the Blues on Thursday to give Chelsea fans some positive news following their stuttering start to the season.

Ramires has already made 241 appearances for Chelsea since signing for the Blues in the summer of 2010 from Benfica.

The midfielder has scored 31 goals in all competitions for the west London side and could not hide his delight at penning his new deal on Thursday evening.

Ramires posted the pictures above on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “I’m very happy to sign a new contract with Chelsea! I hope to be an important part of many more successes in the next four years! Thanks!!!! @chelseafc #cfc #r7”

Ramires will be hoping to feature when Chelsea return to Premier League action with their crunch clash against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Saturday lunchtime.

The Blues head into that game in 15th place in the Premier League table and 11 points behind leaders Manchester City after 10 games.
