Bastian Schweinsteiger has taken to social media to reveal his excitement ahead of Manchester United’s Champions League trip to CSKA Moscow on Wednesday night.

Louis van Gaal’s men completed their final training session at their Carrington training base on Tuesday morning as they put the finishing touches on their preparations for the game.

The Red Devils are looking to build on their win over Wolfsburg in their most recent top-flight outing.

And Schweinsteiger is clearly looking forward to the clash.

The Germany international posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account on Tuesday afternoon and wrote: “Great training session! Next stop: Moscow ✈️ #UCL #mufc”

United have lost their last three away games in the Champions League proper, although they did win 4-0 at Club Brugge in the play-offs.

The Red Devils, who are third in the Premier League table and two points behind Manchester City, have won only one of seven matches, home and away, against Russian opposition.
