Mesut Ozil takes to social media to reflect on helping Arsenal beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday

Mesut Ozil has taken to social media to reveal his delight at helping Arsenal secure a famous 2-0 win over Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The Germany international scored the north London club’s second goal in stoppage time at Emirates Stadium after substitute Olivier Giroud had given Arsene Wenger’s men the lead in north London.

And the 27-year-old playmaker used his personal Instagram account to reflect on the victory on Wednesday afternoon.

Ozil posted the picture above of himself celebrating his goal at Emirates Stadium on the photo-sharing app and wrote: “Screaming is bad for your voice, but sometimes it’s good for the heart! #Arsenal #UCL #bethedifference”

Arsenal now turn their attentions back to the Premier League and preparing for Saturday evening’s clash with Everton at Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners can move top of the Premier League table with victory over the Toffees, before Manchester City travel to Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.

Arsenal are currently two points behind Manuel Pellegrini’s league leaders.
