Toby Alderweireld is looking forward to returning to Premier League action with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday as Spurs prepare to welcome Liverpool to White Hart Lane.

The Reds head to north London to contest their first game since Jurgen Klopp’s appointment as the Merseyside outfit’s new manager.

And Alderweireld has taken to social media to reveal his excitement ahead of the lunchtime Premier League kick-off.

Alderweireld posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “Matchday<img draggable=” src=”×72/1f4aa.png”>. #Coys”

Victory for the visitors would see Liverpool notch up six consecutive league wins against Tottenham for the first time in their history.

The Merseyside outfit have scored a total of 18 goals and conceded just four in the last five meetings.

They also have an impressive record against Spurs in north London, having scored eight goals on their last two trips to White Hart Lane, winning 5-0 in 2013 and 3-0 last season.

Spurs head into the game one point ahead of Liverpool in the table.
