Erik Lamela met some young Tottenham Hotspur supporters ahead of their clash against Aston Villa at White Hart Lane on Monday night.

The Spurs midfielder has enjoyed a promising start to the season with the north London side after having scored two goals and made two assists in nine Premier League appearances.

Lamela, who is Tottenham’s club-record signing, got on the score sheet in a 5-1 victory over newly-promoted Bournemouth at Dean’s Court in the Premier League last weekend.

The Argentina international posted the above collage of photos with some young Tottenham supporters before he knuckled down to prepare for Monday night’s game against Villa.

Lamela wrote on the photo-sharing app: “Nice time spent with the boys this afternoon 🙌⚽”

The Spurs midfielder has scored four goals and has made two assists in 13 appearances in all competitions this season.
