Jurgen Klopp’s first game in charge of Liverpool ended in a goalless draw at Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday lunchtime.

The German, who was appointed as Brendan Rodgers’ successor at White Hart Lane earlier this month, watched his side dominate the opening exchanges but fail to make the crucial breakthrough in north London.

But the final result did not dampen the spirits of the travelling Liverpool supporters, who did their best to make sure the 48-year-old was made to feel welcome during his Premier League bow.

Here are some of the banners that greeted Liverpool’s new manager as he took charge of his first Reds game.

Saturday’s draw at Tottenham left Liverpool in eighth place in the Premier League table after having taken 13 points from their opening nine top-flight games.
