Piers Morgan has never been one to keep his opinions about Arsene Wenger to himself.

But the celebrity fan and Arsenal shareholder appears to have had a change of heart in recent days and now looks to be finally getting behind the Frenchman.

Morgan was full of praise for Wenger as Arsenal secured a thrilling 2-0 win over Bayern Munich in the Champions League in midweek.

And the former Daily Mirror editor could not hide his delight as the Gunners moved top of the Premier League table with a 2-1 win over Everton at Emirates Stadium on Saturday evening.

Morgan used his personal Twitter account to post a series of updates about Arsenal, and mentioned Wenger in unusually glowing terms.

Arsenal took the lead in the 36th minute when Olivier Giroud nodded in Mesut Ozil’s fine cross – and Laurent Koscielny made it 2-0 when he headed home in the 38th minute.
