Only Piers Morgan would be able to turn Lewis Hamilton’s Formula 1 title triumph into a dig at Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

Hamilton won his third World Championship at a thrilling United States Grand Prix on Sunday to become only the second British driver after Sir Jackie Stewart to achieve the feat.

However, celebrity fan and Arsenal shareholder Morgan could not resist the opportunity to turn Hamilton’s win into a chance to criticise Wenger for failing to lead Arsenal to a Premier League title since 2004.

Morgan has never been one to hold back on his feelings about Wenger, despite the Frenchman guiding Arsenal to back to back FA Cups in the last two years.

And the former Daily Mirror editor used his personal Twitter account to make another point about Arsenal’s lack of silverware in recent seasons.

Morgan tweeted:

Arsenal are currently second in the Premier League table and level on points with leaders Manchester City after 10 games.
