Stats show Arsenal star leading the Premier League
Olivier Giroud has the lowest number of minutes per goal than any other striker in the Premier League this season
Olivier Giroud has enjoyed a return to form in recent weeks after initially finding himself behind Theo Walcott in the pecking order at Emirates Stadium.
The French striker netted his fifth top-flight game of the season as he nodded in the opener to give Arsenal the lead in their 2-1 win over Everton on Saturday night.
Giroud was restored to the starting line-up for Saturday’s clash after coming off the bench to help Arsenal seal a thrilling 2-0 win over Bayern Munich in the Champions League last week.
Despite only starting four of Arsenal’s 10 Premier League games this season, Giroud has already netted six goals in all competitions for the Gunners.
And the France international has been staking his claim for a regular starting spot in Arsenal’s first-team in recent weeks, with these stats showing that the forward has the lowest number of minutes per goal than any other striker in the Premier League this season.
Arsenal take on Sheffield Wednesday in the League Cup third round on Tuesday night before travelling to Swansea City in the Premier League on Saturday.
