Usain Bolt is a man of his word.

The world’s greatest sprinter has made no secret of his affection for Manchester United and has regularly taken to Twitter to cheer on the Red Devils.

Bolt has even lobbied to play for United in the past, and it was no surprise that the four-time Olympic champion was keeping a close eye on events at The Emirates.

But the Jamaican suffered like all United supporters at the weekend after a 3-0 defeat by bitter rival Arsenal at Emirates Stadium.

And Bolt was forced to take to Instagram in a Gunners shirt following the emphatic loss after losing a bet with a friend.

Bolt wrote on the photo-sharing app: “So i lost a bet with @pattylopezdelac that man untied would win but they didn’t so I have to pay up on my bet so sorry guys. #nothappy #seriousface”

Arsenal surged into an early 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil before the Chile international added a third in the 20th minute.
