Wenger delivers latest Arsenal injury update ahead of Man United showdown
Laurent Koscielny has been ruled out of action for at least three weeks, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger reveals
Laurent Koscielny has been ruled out of action for at least three weeks with a hamstring injury and will miss Arsenal’s clash with Manchester United on Sunday, Arsene Wenger has revealed.
The Gunners defender pulled up in the second half of the north London side’s 3-2 loss to Olympiacos at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night and is now set to miss Sunday’s showdown.
Wenger also confirmed that midfield duo Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini are also both set to miss the visit of the Premier League leaders this weekend.
Speaking at a news conference at Arsenal’s London Colney training ground on Friday morning, Wenger said: “Koscielny will certainly be out. He has a hamstring strain – it looks like three weeks.
“Arteta and Flamini will also be missing.”
Manchester United head to north London looking for a victory to keep their place at the top of the table.
The Gunners, meanwhile, know that a win for them would move them level on points with Van Gaal’s men heading into the forthcoming international break.
