Ander Herrera delivers Man United injury update after Watford win

Ander Herrera plays down fears about the injury that forced him off during Manchester United's win at Watford

Ander Herrera has taken to social media to reveal that he is hoping the injury that forced him off in the first half of Manchester United’s 2-1 win at Watford on Saturday is not too serious.

The Spaniard pulled up after less than 30 minutes of the Premier League clash at Vicarage Road with an apparent hamstring injury and was replaced by Marcos Rojo.

However, Herrera used his personal Instagram account to reveal his delight at the Red Devils’ victory and play down concerns about his injury.

Herrera shared the picture above on the photo-sharing app and wrote: “This team always fights to the very end! What a team spirit! 3 fantastic points, I hope the injury is as small as possible 🔴 @manchesterunited”

Memphis Depay netted the opener in the 11th minute when he volleyed home Herrera’s cross.

However, the home side battled back and drew level when Troy Deeney smashed home an 89th-minute penalty after Marcos Rojo brought down Odion Ighalo in the box.

Schweinsteiger helped United secure the three points moments later, however, when the German’s ball across goal was bundled in by Deeney for an own-goal.
