Ander Herrera: I’ve never seen anyone like this Man United star

Ander Herrera gushes with praise for his Manchester United team-mate David De Gea

Ander Herrera has heaped praise on “genius” David De Gea and insists that he has never seen anyone as talented as the Manchester United goalkeeper.

The shot-stopper has been in good form for United so far this season after committing his future to the club by signing a new long-term contract early on in the campaign.

De Gea was on the verge of a transfer to Real Madrid over the summer but the deal fell through at the last minute due to the necessary paperwork not being submitted on time.

The Spaniard has since been regular in United’s first team and has helped the Red Devils climb to fourth place in the table and two points behind leaders Manchester City after 12 games.

And Herrera has told Manchester United fans that they are extremely lucky to have such a top talent at their club.

Herrera told Catalunya Radio: “He’s a genius. Purely on talent, I’ve never seen someone like him and we are lucky to have him.

“The talent he has, very few have it in the world and David is one of them.
