Arsenal transfers: Ezequiel Lavezzi could join Juventus, says agent
Ezequiel Lavezzi's agent confirms Juventus and Man City are potential options for out-of-favour PSG man
Ezequiel Lavezzi could join Serie A champions Juventus in the January transfer window, according to the Arsenal target’s agent.
The Argentina international is set to become a free agent next summer when the forward’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires.
The Ligue 1 champions are thought to be willing to allow Lavezzi to leave in January in order to raise some funds from his early sale.
Lavezzi was linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer transfer window, and the Gunners are still rumoured to be interested in the Argentinian.
However, Lavezzi’s advisor Alessandro Moggi hinted that a return to Serie A could be on the cards for the former Napoli forward.
“Could Lavezzi return to Italy? Juve are an option and with regards to Inter I can say Mancini already wanted him at Manchester City,” Moggi is quoted as saying by Football Italia.
“He earns a lot because he is an important player. There are many European sides tracking him and Italy are an option.”
Lavezzi scored a 34th minute opener against Brazil last night before Lucas Lima levelled for visitors in their 2018 World Cup qualifying clash.
The 30-year-old striker has scored two times in 12 Ligue 1 games this season, although Lavezzi has only started three top-flight fixtures.
