Arsene Wenger says Arsenal need to bounce back from their difficult moment at West Bromwich Albion.

The Gunners missed the chance to move to the top of the Premier League table after a 2-1 defeat by the Baggies at The Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon.

We have to come back quickly and focus

The north London side dropped to fourth place in the Premier League table following their setback, falling two points behind leaders Leicester City.

However, Wenger urged the Gunners to respond to their severe disappointment against Dynamo Zagreb in the Champions League at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.

Wenger told Sky Sports: “It is severe disappointment, we want to bounce back.

“Now we cannot change it and the only thing we can do is bounce back on Tuesday night. It is a difficult moment for us, yes.

“In the last two games, we took one point out of six and that is very difficult and very disappointing when you are on such a great run. We have to come back quickly and focus.”

Arsenal took the lead through Olivier Giroud in the 28th minute against the Baggies, but James Morrison equalised shortly after to haul Tony Pulis’ men level.

Mikel Arteta then scored an own goal before being subbed off with a calf injury.

Arsenal pressed for an equaliser and were awarded a penalty late on after Alexis Sanchez was brought down in the box.
