Arsene Wenger looks back on a successful October for Arsenal

Arsene Wenger admitted that Arsenal’s impressive 3-0 win over Manchester United was the highlight of the October for him after the Frenchman was named manager of the month.

The Gunners earned plenty of praise for their blistering start against the Red Devils as the north London side raced into a 3-0 lead inside 20 minutes thanks to goals from Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.

Wenger’s Arsenal side went on to win the game and underline their title credentials for the season ahead.

And the Gunners boss admits that he was thrilled by the manner of the win over Louis van Gaal’s men.

Wenger said in an interview with Sky Sports: “That was the highlight because there are very few matches in your life where it all clicks perfectly in the first 20 minutes and that is one of the games.

“We had a difficult start against West Ham and after that we have responded very well and are now on a good run. Our target of course is to maintain it.”
