Arsene Wenger has challenged Mesut Ozil to score more regularly for Arsenal after the playmaker helped to fire the Gunners to a 3-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday night.

Ozil netted a smart low header to give Arsenal the lead at Emirates Stadium, before two goals from Alexis Sanchez secured a comfortable win to keep their Champions League hopes alive.

The Germany playmaker has been in fine form for Wenger’s men so far this season and has been involved in 11 goals for Arsenal in his last nine games.

Now, Wenger feels that the World Cup winner could be set to develop a “taste” for scoring after finding the net on Tuesday night.

Wenger told BT Sport after the game: “I think Mesut Ozil had an outstanding first half, he has got the taste for scoring now.

“I have never seen Ozil in the box so many times as in the last five or six games.”
