Bastian Schweinsteiger ‘so happy’ with Man United’s last-minute victory

Manchester United star Bastian Schweinsteiger reflects on 2-1 win

Bastian Schweinsteiger has taken to Twitter to express his delight at Manchester United’s last-minute 2-1 victory over Watford.

The Germany international’s effort was bundled into the Watford net by Hornets skipper Troy Deeney on the stroke of full-time at Vicarage Road.

The Red Devils appeared to have let three points slip away after Deeney had cancelled out Memphis Depay’s opener with three minutes remaining in Saturday’s early kick-off.

However, Schweinsteiger, who moved to United from Bayern Munich in a £6.7m deal in the summer, couldn’t contain his delight to help Louis van Gaal’s secure a crucial three points.

United captain Wayne Rooney was quick to congratulate Schweinsteiger on seemingly his first Premier League goal, but the Germany international set his skipper straight.

The Red Devils momentarily moved to the top of the Premier League table following their dramatic win at Watford, with Arsenal and Manchester City in action later on Saturday afternoon.
