Bastian Schweinsteiger is looking forward to Manchester United's Premier League clash with Leicester City on Saturday evening

Bastian Schweinsteiger has taken to social media to issue a Manchester United rallying cry ahead of Saturday’s top-of-the-table clash with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

The Red Devils head into the game knowing that a victory would move them to the top of the Premier League table and boost their title credentials as the hectic festive schedule looms large.

United warmed up for Saturday’s game with a goalless draw against PSV Eindhoven at Old Trafford on Wednesday night as they squandered their chance to secure qualification for the last 16 of the Champions League.

However, World Cup-winning midfielder Schweinsteiger is confident that he and his team-mates can return to winning ways against Claudio Ranieri’s men on Saturday.

Schweinsteiger posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account on Friday afternoon and wrote: “Looking forward to tomorrow’s game! It’s up to us to perform well in order to clinch the top of the table. #mufc”
