Wayne Rooney scored a 79th minute winner as Manchester United edged to a 1-0 victory over CSKA Moscow at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.

The Red Devils captain ended his four-game goalless run with his a header 11 minutes from time to secure United’s second win of the group stage.

Louis van Gaal’s side hoisted themselves to the top of Champions League Group B thanks to their victory over their Russian opponents.

And Netherlands international Daley Blind was thrilled with three points and a clean sheet against CSKA:
