Liverpool supporters take to Twitter after reports the Reds have agreed a deal to sign Alexandre Pato

Liverpool’s reported agreement with Corinthians to sign Alexandre Pato got a lukewarm reception from the club’s fans on Twitter.

The Reds are speculated to have sealed a £14m deal for the Brazil international after Corinthians president Robero de Andrade confirmed the Merseyside outfit had reached an agreement in principle for the 26-year-old.

Brazil striker Pato, who has been previously linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, returned to Brazil in 2013 after a five-year spell at Serie A giants AC Milan.

But not all Liverpool supporters were convinced by the prospect of signing the South American in the January transfer window.

One Reds fan believes Jurgen Klopp would be taking a gamble on Pato:
