Cesc Fabregas makes bold Chelsea wish for the rest of the season
Cesc Fabregas is a confident man...
Cesc Fabregas has declared his desire to help Chelsea put their stuttering Premier League form to one side and win the Champions League this season.
The Blues’ poor start to the domestic season continued last weekend as Jose Mourinho’s men slumped to a 1-0 loss to Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium.
The defeat left the west London side languishing in 16th place in the Premier League table and just three points above the relegation zone after a dramatic fall from grace from last season’s champions.
Fabregas, who joined Chelsea from Barcelona in the summer of 2014, is, however, confident that the Blues will turn around their poor form in the coming weeks and months.
And the 28-year-old midfielder has declared his desire to help Chelsea win their second Champions League crown this term.
Fabregas told Goal: “If I could make some wishes for 2016, I would ask for a Champions League, for my partner to be pregnant again and for Chelsea to move up the table and qualify for the next Champions League.
“In the Premier League we are not doing too well and we have to get back on track to achieve that objective, which is very important for the club.”
Chelsea take on Norwich City at Stamford Bridge in their next Premier League game on Saturday 21 November.
