Cesc Fabregas responds to claims of Chelsea player revolt
Cesc Fabregas rejects claims that he has fallen out with Jose Mourinho and has been leaking dressing room secrets
Cesc Fabregas has emphatically quashed suggestions that he has been leaking Chelsea dressing room secrets into the public domain this season following the Blues’ stuttering start to the new campaign.
The Secret Footballer claimed that the Spaniard has fallen out with manager Jose Mourinho after reportedly becoming unhappy with the lack of creative freedom on the pitch.
Fabregas immediately hit back at the claims via a series of posts on his Twitter account earlier this month.
Now, the Chelsea midfielder has once again denied the claims and insists that he is fully backing the defending Premier League champions to turn around their poor form in the coming weeks and months.
Fabregas told Spanish radio station COPE: “Someone invented that I was the one who leaked dressing room secrets.
“I do not know where they came from, but I have my dignity and I had to defend myself.”
Fabregas added: “Our level of performances doesn’t correspond with the results, but I am sure we are going to improve.”
The midfielder was a second-half substitute as Chelsea slumped to their seventh Premier League defeat of the season at Stoke City on Saturday afternoon. The loss left Mourinho’s men down in 16th place in the table and just three points off the relegation zone.
