Cesc Fabregas has poured cold water on reports suggesting that the midfielder is leading a mini revolt at Chelsea.

According to the Secret Footballer, the former Arsenal captain has fallen out with manager Jose Mourinho after reportedly becoming unhappy with the lack of creative freedom on the pitch.

The Spain international was left on the bench for Chelsea’s 3-1 defeat by Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon before he came on as a second-half substitute for John Obi Mikel.

However, Fabregas, who was signed by Mourinho from Barcelona in a £27m deal in 2014, took to Twitter on Tuesday morning in a bid to emphatically quash the recent speculation surrounding his alleged role in any Chelsea mutiny.

Fabregas added that he is confident the defending Premier League champions will recover from a poor start to the season after run of six defeats in 11 games.

Mikel and Oscar have also issued statements of support for Mourinho on Chelsea’s website following their 3-1 loss to Liverpool.
